Admenta is a kind of drug called N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonists. This drug protects NMDA receptors in the brain against high level of glutamate. High level of glutamate may result to brain degeneration.

Talk to your doctor first before taking this medicine you have severe kidney disease, seizure disorder or history of seizure, and an allergy to Admenta or other similar drugs. The symptoms of allergic reaction are swelling of the face, lips or tongue which may make it difficult to swallow or breathe; itching, skin rash or hives and asthma, wheezing or shortness of breath. Before taking Admenta, inform your doctor if you have any allergies to foods, dyes, preservatives or any other medicines; epilepsy, kidney disease or problems with the heart or blood vessels; or made changes in your diet. Talk to your doctor first before taking this drug if you are pregnant or breast-feeding an infant. It is not known whether this drug could cause harm to an unborn baby and a nursing infant. Ask your doctor about the benefits and harm of taking Admenta if you are pregnant or breast-feeding an infant.
Admenta intake guidelines
Follow the exact direction given by your doctor in taking Admenta. In case you did not understand the instruction, do not hesitate to ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse to explain them to you. This drug may be taken with or without food. Make sure to follow the instruction of your doctor to get the most benefit.
You may obtain the dose from your doctor. Follow the exact dose given by your doctor. The dose will vary from person to person. The frequency and amount of the dose will depend on the disease to be treated and the condition of the patient. Do not change the dose given to you by your doctor. Change the dose only when you are told by your doctor to do so.
In case you suspect an overdose of Admenta, call your doctor or Poison Information Center immediately, or look for emergency medical attention. The symptoms of overdose with this drug are dizziness, headache, tiredness, confusion, and feel, see, or hear thing that are not there.
Admenta missed dose
In case you miss to take a dose of Admenta, skip the missed dose, wait until its time for the next dose, and only take the regularly scheduled dose. Do not take a double dose of this medication. In case, you have doubts or do not know what to do, contact your doctor at the soonest possible time.
Admenta side effects
Some of the common side effects of Admenta are dizziness, confusion, tiredness, headache and seeing, hearing or feeling things that are not there. Some side effects that are not mentioned here may occur. Talk to your doctor if you experience unusual or bothersome side effects.
Admenta drug reactions
Some drugs could affect Admenta. Talk to your doctor if you are taking medicines used for Epilepsy or fits; irregular beating of your heart; leg cramps or to relax muscles; cough, cold and flu; urinary tract infections; stomach cramps or spasms, or travel sickness; Parkinson's disease; certain mental and emotional conditions; smoking addiction; anaesthetic agents; or stomach ulcers or reflux. Some drugs that are not mentioned here may also affect this drug. Talk to your doctor if you are taking other medicines or over-the-counter medicines such as vitamins, minerals, and herbal products.
